Bassist Scott John Miller (Redbank, NJ) and drummer Paul Floccari (Ripley, NY) both replied to on-line ads posted by Shelah and Karl. The band started in 2005 in Los Angeles with Karl Strauss and Shelah Kelso writing and recording songs together as The Patchwork Quilt Fallacy. After playing in several other bands in L.A., Kelso and Strauss relocated to the east coast feeling it would provide them with more opportunities to tour and reach out to their fans. A search immediately began for band members who possessed a passion and drive for lifelong musical success that matched that of Shelah and Karl.
The Patchwork Quilt Fallacy is currently playing shows in eastern Pennsylvania to promote their first album, The Great Escape EP. This album was recorded, mixed and produced by The Patchwork Quilt Fallacy in 2008. The band also released their first music video which was filmed and edited by filmmaker/director Brandon Wunder.
